Inspiration: Chunky Jewels

Jewelry seems to be everywhere now a days: I think I complimented four girls at school on their rings, two more girls on their earrings, and I lost count of how many cute chunky necklaces I've been seeing. It's been declared - the best way to add character to an outfit is through jewels. The photos above come from the August issue of Vogue Brazil (gahh... Tenho saudades de lê-lo!) and I am just blown away by minimalism brought forth by the photography (straight on, overhead light), the make up (smoky eye, simple lip), the hair (pulled back in a chignon, not distracting). The way a simple t-shirt is juxtaposed against the extravagant jewels gives off an air of elegance. I may be love? (No. I am in love).

I may or may not be having the most stressful week of my life. I'll further update you on Friday. :) But for now, back to writing a french essay... Ahh. La vie d'un élève!
