Fashion Days Zurich: Mercedes Benz Fashion Show 1

Last weekend I had the pleasure to go to the Mercedes Benz fashion show during the Charles Voegele Fashion Days in Zurich! It was a great experience, and I was so happy that I got to return after going last year. This year, the Mercedes Benz show teamed up with the editor-in-chief of Vogue Germany, Christiane Arp, to choose four up and coming designers to show case their collections, as well as having an established designer showcase his. Below are the first two shows from the fabulous night. 

René Storck

 Minimalism was definitely key to the René Storck collection. Clean lines with a slight touch of draping framed each piece, with several stunners thrown in. It was interesting to have the models wear flat sandals, instead of the standard heel. The whole collection emitted a down to earth, organic feel. It wasn't a collection for me, though the pieces were extremely well crafted, and props to Mr. Storck for the tailoring: absolutely stunning.

Vladamir Karaleev

The Vladamir Karaleev collection was a play between the flowing and the stiff: the hard and the soft. The show began with simple shift dresses, yet grew into leather and structured skirts. Personally, the transition was a little sporadic, yet many pieces caught my eye. I particularly loved the chunky boot and heel that anchored each outfit. And the styling continued with the contrast between the flowing and the stiff: pure and classic makeup with a low pony-tail which finished off each look with a sweet aftertaste.
